The Government of the Republic of Zambia adopted a robust transport policy in the year 2002. As a consequence, the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) was established through an Act of Parliament; the Road Traffic Act No. 11 of 2002. RTSA has the mandate to implement Government policy on road safety and transport management.
Purpose of the job
To collect government revenue and issue receipts
Reports to: Revenue Officer
Specific duties and responsibilities
Ensure that the cash office is not accessible to any unauthorized personnel
On a daily basis, receives cash and cheques and updates accounting records for onward submission to the Revenue Officer
Issue receipt vouchers for all monies received after verifying the validity of cheques and cash payments collected from customers
Ensures full compliance to all the provisions contained in the RTSA finance and administration procedures manual.
Requirements & qualifications
Requirements
Grade twelve certificate
CABs, AAT, ATD, ZICA Tech, ACCA I, CIA, CIMA I;
At least one year work experience; and Computer literate;
