Our company is seeking a highly driven and experienced Field Sales Manager to oversee bakery and butchery field sales operations. The successful candidate will supervise Sales Coordinators and van sales teams, ensure full route coverage, maintain customer service standards, and drive sales growth across all assigned territories. This role requires strong leadership, field presence, and the ability to provide structured daily operational feedback to management.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Bakery and Butchery Sales Coordinators and provide daily operational guidance.
Oversee van sales teams, monitor performance, and enforce compliance with company policies.
Ensure all mapped routes are serviced consistently and efficiently.
Maintain and update the customer database through field visits, calls, and route monitoring.
Identify unserviced or dormant customers, collect orders, and facilitate sales growth.
Verify correct application of wholesale and unit pricing across all van sales.
Ensure customers receive accurate information, fair pricing, and quality service.
Collect and submit structured daily sales feedback reports.
Provide daily and weekly reports to the Operations Manager on sales, customer feedback, route coverage, and operational issues.
Support market development initiatives and monitor competitor activity.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Three (3) experience in sales supervision, field sales, or route management.
FMCG, bakery, butchery, or distribution experience is an added advantage.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and prepare structured reports.
Knowledge of wholesale pricing and retail compliance.
Leadership, team coordination, and field supervision abilities.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
