JOB VACANCY | SAFETY OFFICER

A reputable company operating in the Heavy Equipment, Mining, Construction & Engineering industry is looking for an experienced and proactive Safety Officer to join its team.

Location: Chingola, Copperbelt

Gross Salary: K15,000 per month (Negotiable for candidates with exceptional experience)

Key Responsibilities

▪️Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and safety standards.
▪️Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.
▪️Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and employee safety training.
▪️Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
▪️Monitor PPE compliance and safe working practices.
▪️Maintain HSE records, reports and inspection documentation.
▪️Support emergency preparedness, drills and safety audits.
▪️Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.

Requirements

▪️Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management or a related field.
▪️3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in mining, construction, heavy equipment, engineering or another high-risk environment.
▪️Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation and workplace safety procedures.
▪️First Aid and Fire Safety certification is an advantage.
▪️Strong communication, reporting, leadership and problem-solving skills.
